There was a time, two decades ago, when land was cheaper compared to other assets, such as gold. However, today, the cost of land in Telangana and across India is beyond the reach of the middle class.  Why is land becoming more expensive compared to other assets?  Is it due to the law of supply and demand, or because the amount of land available is limited?  It is true that to some extent, the limited supply of land is causing prices to rise.
